Absolutely brilliant Latte and London Fog, with Gluten free options, and a diverse range of artwork.
A splendid discovery if you happen to be passing through town.

I've been to this cafe a few times with my family during our trips to the countryside or as a pit stop on a road adventure. Every visit has been a delight, from the delightful food and drinks to the warm service and charming art. During our most recent stop, we enjoyed a delicious lunch featuring tomato soup, crêpes, and grilled cheese sandwiches. Once again, it was a wonderful experience for my family. We'd definitely return with smiles on our faces.

I've visited a few times, and let me tell you, the atmosphere is just delightful. The folks there are truly amazing, and the avocado toast and Margarita omelette are to die for!

Initially, the bloke behind the counter possessed this rather pretentious air, as if he were superior to all others. He exhibited an unfriendly and exceedingly impolite manner. It was evident that he lacked competence as well. I must say, charging $0.50 for a mere 2 ice cubes is preposterous. I will not be returning. He was combative and showed no willingness to accommodate. When I requested additional milk in my macchiato, he insisted that's not how it's prepared here. Even if it deviates from your usual preparation, there is absolutely no reason why he couldn't include an extra tablespoon or two of milk for me. Instead, he declined, leaving us dissatisfied.

Just cruising through the town, needed a breather from the road. Instead of the typical truck stop or fast food joint, stumbled upon a delightful haven of tranquility with exquisite original artwork by talented local artists, and fantastic hot beverages in European-sized portions. Will absolutely return for more!

I've been putting in some time at Bancroft lately. I'm a transplanted Torontonian still getting my bearings. And let me tell you, this spot is something special. Each dish is crafted and served with such care and attention! The food quality and variety are truly impressive. As soon as you step inside, you instantly feel like you've found your second home. The peanut butter cookies and Buddha bowls have been a real source of comfort for me while being away from my usual surroundings. This place is an absolute must-visit!

We've popped in a couple of times on our bikes. The coffee is top-notch and the folks there are really friendly.
Evelyn Kim (2025-06-20, 7:26 a.m.):
The coffee was rather mediocre, the cafe was infested with mosquitos, and the service was painfully slow! We ordered bagels with cream cheese, but instead received plain bagels accompanied by a veggie cream cheese in a separate container, which was quite disappointing!
Michael Fisher (2025-06-16, 9:23 a.m.):
It's a tad on the expensive side, but I must say, I thoroughly relish the cuisine and ambiance. The proprietors are ever so delightful to engage with whenever our paths cross.
Philip Reyes (2025-06-15, 7:41 a.m.):

The staff members are exceptional, the food is top-notch, and the events are fantastic.

Elizabeth Harris (2025-06-11, 6:29 p.m.):
I absolutely adore this charming café gallery, and it has become a must-stop for us whenever we're heading to or from the cottage. However, I must admit that on this occasion, the service was quite sluggish, and we found the prices to be a tad steep for what we received. Although my $14 flatbread was undeniably tasty, it was disappointingly petite, leaving me still feeling quite peckish afterwards.

I recently contacted The Muse Cafe for a sudden catering request, and they truly exceeded my expectations! Not only did they manage to meet my tight deadline, but the food they provided was simply delightful and presented beautifully. My clients were thoroughly impressed, and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome 😀 I will definitely be turning to them for upcoming client gatherings and special occasions! Many thanks!

I popped in for a speedy lunch to take away, as I work close by this establishment. I opted for the grilled cheese - a solid 10 out of 10, unquestionably the finest grilled cheese I've ever savored! Rose, the epitome of kindness, graciously delivered my order to me once it was ready while I was at work. This place is a gem with exceptional customer service, and I will certainly return! There was a delightful young lady with curly red hair who also provided excellent customer care, though I regrettably missed her name... Many thanks indeed!

Lovely quaint café with outstanding coffee and delicious pastries/treats. The adjacent art gallery provided a charming respite on our journey to Algonquin.
Catherine Barnes (2025-06-08, 3:47 p.m.):
The service was friendly and efficient. Sky took care of us. The raspberry crepes were absolutely delightful, bursting with flavor. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the margarita omelet, although he didn't realize it was vegetarian. Nonetheless, he loved it, and the owner kindly offered to add meat next time if we'd prefer. Such a thoughtful gesture! My husband opted for the Americana, which he found quite satisfying. We highly recommend this place; in addition to delicious food, they also showcase a charming selection of art pieces, jewelry, and other goods for sale. The regular customers are also really welcoming and pleasant to chat with.

I recently enjoyed a delightful bagel topped with a perfectly cooked sunny side up egg and delicious crispy bacon, all smothered in a special three-sauce spicy mayonnaise. I also indulged in "Manna's pancakes" with gooey melted cheese. This experience was truly unforgettable and I can't wait to try recreating these flavors once I return to Germany. Kudos to the lovely family-run establishment for providing such a wonderful dining experience. I could easily while away hours there, immersed in a good book or playing card games with friends. Thank you!
