So, all me Alexa's, Nest cameras, and devices were having some issues connecting properly, and everything was lagging. Decided to reach out to Tech Aide since I have used their computer services before. They sent me this bloke Chris. Let me tell you, this guy was top-notch. He was a breeze to work with and I felt at ease having him over at my place with my four rugrats running around like loonies, all under the age of 7. Chris showed up early and wasn't fazed one bit by the mayhem. On top of that, they offered me a warranty for all the fixes they did, which, I thought was gonna take ages, but surprisingly didn't. I was chuffed to have a better option than the Geek Squad. Big thanks to Tech Aide! Oh, and did I mention I called them late on a Friday and they managed to swing by within three days? Cheers!

I've been having problems with my PC for some time now. Derek took a look at it and found some issues with Windows. He fixed it for me, returned it, and then a week later I experienced another crash. He took another look at it at no additional cost, but couldn't replicate the crash in his shop, so he couldn't determine the cause. He returned it to me to see if I could make it crash again so he could gather more information. Even though we're having difficulty pinpointing the issue, he is working with me to find a solution. Not many places are willing to put in that extra effort to diagnose and resolve the issue, so I would highly recommend bringing your computers here.

I must say, about a month back, I took my gaming PC to this place owing to an ongoing problem that had stumped other places. I thought to give this shop a go and phoned just before they shut up for the day. The owner picked up and kindly invited me to bring in my PC that night, agreeing to stay open a tad longer as he reckoned it might be a quick fix.
I was grateful for the owner’s willingness to lend a hand. Though the issue turned out more tangled than we first imagined, he guided me through getting my PC queued up for repair. Come the following weekend, my PC was returned, and they had completely ironed out what had been nagging me for over a year—one of those tricky network issues causing slowdowns.
Before I dropped off my PC, something seemed to be capping my download speeds on Steam at 5 MB/s. However, post their work and getting it back home, my speeds shot right back up to a hefty 110 MB/s. I can't recommend this place enough for repairs; they did a stellar job, and I wouldn't look elsewhere!
The pricing was also reasonable, especially since they assured me they'd stick with it until they got to the bottom of the problem and fixed it.

I 'ave been usin' Northern Protocol computer repair fer years since been in Barrie since 2012, and when me Dell compact desktop started actin' up and could not load a webpage without DNS server connectivity error. So I went to th' old Northern Protocol location on Bayfield St an' found a sign sayin' they were no longer in business. Thankfully, I 'ad been referred to a new place called Tech Aid Solutions and took a piece o' paper they offered. I found it fairly easily in the south end of Barrie, on Saunders Road.
I brought me computer in on Monday, April 24th, 2023, and found out that the techs 'ere were from th' old Northern Protocol. Th' owner of that company 'ad retired and was livin' in Mexico now. Thankfully, Chris, the new owner of Tech Aid Solutions, was there and is an awesome, amazin' man and tech. Anyways, I was lucky and got me compact Dell on the bench immediately. The techs were not sure exactly what was causin' this DNS server issue, so I left it with 'em. Within 24 hours, these amazin' techs found that it was a bad or inappropriate driver for the wifi installed durin' a Windows update!!! They were able to remove that bad driver, reconfigure it, and the DNS issue was resolved. Now I can surf to any page again and the computer 'olds the wifi connection properly.
Additionally, these amazin' techs noticed that the computer was very slow and sluggish. They quickly realized it was th' old 'ard drive in it and suggested puttin' in a new, little SSD 'ard drive, which is a solid state drive. What a difference that made! Now the browser closes in less than 5 seconds, instead of thirty seconds, and surfin' is faster and much better. It was worth the extra $150 bucks. So, I 'ad all this done for $258, and just for the wifi repair, it would 'ave been only $100.
I highly and I mean highly recommend th' new Tech Aid Solutions computer service and sales business in Barrie. Remember, these are the same amazin' techs you may 'ave 'ad at Northern Protocol. I'm so glad I found this new service and didn't make th' mistake of goin' somewhere else.
