Exploring Newegg Canada: Your Go-To Electronics Store in Richmond Hill, Ontario

Newegg Canada, located in Richmond Hill, Ontario, stands out as a prominent electronics store offering an extensive range of products. With its focus on customer convenience and service, Newegg allows for various payment options including debit cards and credit cards, making it easy for shoppers to complete their purchases.

Customer Experience and Accessibility

Accessing Newegg Canada is straightforward, thanks to features like a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park. The store ensures that all customers can navigate the space comfortably. Positive reviews highlight Newegg's commitment to providing solid services, enhancing the overall customer experience. However, some feedback points out challenges within the return process. Customers have expressed frustration over buying items only to encounter difficulties when returning them. It's crucial for consumers to respect the outlined policies while understanding the necessity for businesses to protect themselves from misuse.

Delivery and Service Options

While Newegg promotes fast delivery services, some customers have reported issues with shipping and order accuracy. Experiences shared suggest that even minor items might require in-store pick-up, which contradicts the promise of home delivery. For example, a customer mentioned driving 40 minutes to retrieve a cable after it was mistakenly sent to another location. On-site services are also available, allowing customers to interact directly with knowledgeable staff. This support can be invaluable for ensuring optimal choices for electronics purchases.

Enhancing Social Media Reputation

With varying reviews regarding customer service, it's imperative for Newegg to prioritize its social media reputation. Engaging with customer feedback online can help improve public perception and address concerns effectively. Customers have noted the need for better communication regarding order statuses and return policies. In conclusion, while Newegg Canada provides a robust selection of electronics coupled with accessible services, there are notable areas for enhancement, particularly in customer interaction and delivery processes. As they continue to evolve, focusing on these aspects will likely lead to improved experiences for future shoppers.

Absolutely dreadful company, mate. The bloomin' website tells me to check the laptop I bought as soon as it arrives to make sure it ain't knackered, which is fair enough. I have a butcher's and it turns out I ordered the wrong one. Now, when I try to send it back, they're slapping me with a $300 restocking fee just because I opened the bleeding thing. But I only did that 'cause they told me to! I tried to get in touch with customer support (after waiting 3 days on hold, mind you) only to be told they can't do diddly squat.
Proper dodgy way to run a business, won't be buying from these lot again, that's for sure.

Terrible customer service experience. We never received our $1500 parcel. The shipping policy clearly states that a signature is required for items over $750, but they claimed it only applies if purchased through PayPal. That detail was not mentioned in the policy. This company seems more interested in money than in respecting their customers. Be cautious when ordering to condo or apartment buildings, as they don't seem to care whether you receive your parcel or not. Our package supposedly left at the front door - which front door, we wonder? - yet Newegg doesn't seem to be concerned that we never received it. We won't be ordering from this company again.

ATTENTION BUYERS!!!

I recently experienced a disappointing situation with Newegg. Despite receiving a sealed box, the contents were not as expected. Dealing with Newegg has been quite frustrating, as they requested a police report which I provided, only to be told they couldn't assist me further. Interestingly, my home cameras captured the delivery and unboxing process, clearly showing the discrepancy. Local authorities have mentioned similar incidents with Newegg shipments. The battle continues, and I will update you soon with a new YouTube video on my experience with Newegg's customer service. Stay tuned!

Dreadful customer service encounter, I must say. I mistakenly ordered the wrong item and returned it promptly (still new and unopened). Being at fault, I was willing to cover the shipping costs for both ways. However, to my dismay, they added a 15% fee for the return. Now, in my line of work at a small e-commerce store, we only impose such fees for returns that come back used, damaged, or incomplete. This company, on the other hand, applies it across the board. Despite Amazon offering the same price, I opted to support the smaller business. Regrettably, I shan't be returning after this experience.

Not the same anymore, old chap...
Seems like Newegg has turned into a marketplace and isn't quite as keen on customer satisfaction as they once were.
I've pieced together 3 different PCs over the past decade, and always relied on Newegg.
However, my most recent 2 orders are dragging their feet in the shipping department.
There's no way to have a natter with someone via live chat or email.
Newegg isn't just a distributor site anymore, any Tom, Dick, or Harry can pop in and flog their wares... with a dodgy shipping process to boot.
You've lost a customer today, chaps.

When it comes to a straightforward purchase, Newegg is quite simple to use. However, if you find yourself in need of a return, exchange, warranty, or tax exemption related to First Nations purchases on reserve, dealing with them can be quite frustrating. Their customer service will have you going in circles between departments without any resolution.

Their policies regarding returns, warranties, and support are outdated and are not up to par with other retailers. Unless you absolutely must have an item that is exclusive to Newegg and everything goes smoothly, there isn't much reason to choose them over other competitors.
Janet Hughes (2025-06-04, 4:06 a.m.):
The hate and knee-jerk reaction ain't deserved, a lot of these neg reviews happened coz of the GN debacle which actually made NewEgg step up their game. I recently sent back an item 'cause I goofed up and got two items next to each other, but NewEgg still sorted out my return even though they knew I was the one who messed up. I've been buying stuff from them regularly for about 15-20 years, especially when their prices rival those of the big A, and never had any problems with them.
Eric Perez (2025-05-31, 8:52 a.m.):
They don't back up the products they sell. They're making me interact with the manufacturer in China directly. They appear to be okay with leaving me without a working system for more than a month while they sort out the issue. The factory-installed firmware turns out to not be a version provided by Gigabyte. I can't update to a valid version due to a hardware version conflict. It's safe to say I won't be returning to Newegg for my shopping needs in the future.
Paul Perry (2025-05-31, 12:11 a.m.):
I don't usually leave reviews, but I must say Newegg is a rather untrustworthy outfit. I had seen some reviews mentioning that they send out faulty items and then refuse refunds, and I was hoping it was just a one-time slip-up (these things can happen, you know). I placed an order for a monitor and when it arrived, it was damaged. I reached out to Newegg on the same day, got the return label, and sent it back within two days, about a month ago. Despite them having received the item and processed the refund, they are unwilling to return my money. I'm bewildered by this and all I keep hearing is, "wait 2-5 business days." Their customer service is abysmal, and I'm baffled as to how they manage to stay afloat. I've contacted Paypal in hopes of finding some resolution. With Newegg being such a large organization, one would expect better treatment of customers, but it seems they are clueless in that regard. My advice would be to steer clear of Newegg, save yourself the trouble, and opt for a more reputable seller.
Helen Myers (2025-05-24, 6:44 a.m.):
Ordering items from Newegg is pretty fast, you know. However, if you gotta return something, you better watch out. I ordered the wrong case and sent it back unopened just a few hours after getting it, mate. Used their label to ship it back, which they said would cost about $26. But when they got the package, they bumped up the shipping fees to $27.24 and slapped on a restocking fee of $19.50, when they initially said it'd be $0. Just crossing my fingers for a smooth return process for my defective RMA now. Cheers.
Ashley Peterson (2025-05-18, 12:32 a.m.):
Spotted a nifty computer that caught my eye, but lo and behold, it seems to have garnered a fair share of one-star reviews bemoaning BSODs. Decided to drop a line to their support team to inquire about this recurring issue.

Support came back with a rather vague response, stating they couldn't provide details and advised me to contact the manufacturer directly. A bit dodgy, if you ask me...

Curiosity piqued, I returned to check on the computer the following day only to find that all traces of BSOD-related reviews had mysteriously vanished. A reputable company shouldn't need to resort to such shady tactics...
Shirley Morris (2025-05-17, 9:46 a.m.):
Newegg has really gone downhill. I mistakenly ordered a WD 4TB SSD, but when it arrived, a brand-new, packaged WD 1TB SSD was inside the OEM WD 4TB SSD packaging. My refund is still pending.

Their customer service seems non-existent, and the bots they use are utterly unhelpful and appear to go unmonitored. I had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge. I've decided to stop using Newegg for computer parts from now on.
Jerry Brooks (2025-05-16, 12:06 a.m.):
This company be shipping valuable items wit' no signature required. I spent a couple grand and they split it into 3 shipments. One of 'em never arrived, and they said @purolator confirmed it shipped. NEWEGG refused to refund or replace it and closed the case. I contacted Puro and was told a trace was ne'er requested. What liars! This ain't how companies should be doin' business. I'm headin' to the Better Business Bureau. How can the recipient be held liable for them cheatin' out on insurance or not requirin' a signature?
Melissa Gonzales (2025-05-15, 3:24 a.m.):
Worst service ever, mate. Used to be top-notch, but now it's all gone pear-shaped. Their delivery fella Purolator ain't worth a brass farthing, total lack of security. My missus got her gear from South Korea quicker than me, and she ordered after. Shocking service. The remedy? If they've got the bits, they'll send 'em again. If not, they'll cough up the dosh. Luckily, they never have anything in stock... Spent weeks twiddling me thumbs waiting for me 6900xt.

Steer clear of this lot.
Canada Computer and Newegg, utter rubbish. Don't give a toss whether you get your kit or not, just after the moolah. And their service? Pish-posh, the worst I've seen.
Brenda Morales (2025-05-14, 5:20 p.m.):
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER:

Shipments from third-party sellers can be unpredictable. Newegg does not take any responsibility for any issues that may come up. One vendor failed to respond to my order after 5 business days, preventing me from canceling it (and also preventing me from leaving a review). In the same order, another item was faulty from the supplier - Newegg would not take back the product from their distributor, which cost me $15 to receive the item and an additional $30 to return it (out of pocket almost $50 for a defective item).
Daniel Anderson (2025-05-06, 12:27 a.m.):
My experience with Newegg was a total disaster. I had to return a laptop that I didn't even open because I received another one. However, Newegg insisted the package had been tampered with and slapped me with a hefty $300 "restocking fee." It feels like they just made up an excuse to take my money, and there's no way for me to fight back. Their returns process is a mess, probably the worst I've ever encountered. I won't be recommending Newegg to anyone; they scammed me and could very well do the same to you. Save yourself the trouble and shop elsewhere - there are much better options out there like Visions, London Drugs, and Best Buy (just steer clear of Canada Computers, they're awful too).
Jean Smith (2025-05-04, 12:31 p.m.):
I must say, I had a dreadful experience with this company, mate.

Mate, after spending hours chatting with an agent online, they informed me that they had lost my order. Therefore, I requested a refund. The very next day, the item arrived at my doorstep; however, I no longer had any use for it as I had already bought a laptop from a reputable supplier, you see.

As many folks have mentioned, there's absolutely no way to reach them once they've pocketed your dosh. Absolutely dreadful company, if you ask me. Do yourselves a favor and steer clear of doing business with them.
Wayne Bailey (2025-05-04, 10:42 a.m.):
I must say, the customer service provided by this store was absolutely dreadful. It appears they are capitalizing on the limited availability of computer parts due to COVID by putting together bundles that are not compatible. Getting a refund or exchanging faulty components is an incredibly frustrating experience with them. It's clear that they have no consideration for the wastefulness of their actions. I will surely not be returning as a customer. In hindsight, I should have opted for Amazon where returns are hassle-free.
Russell Foster (2025-05-02, 8:29 p.m.):
The staff here are really friendly. In order to return an RMA, you'll need to head round to the rear of the building where the loading trucks are located. Once there, climb the stairs and ring the doorbell before waiting for assistance. It can be a bit tricky to spot the Newegg sign on the scratched door, so keep an eye out. Don't forget to print the RMA yourself and affix it securely to the package.
David Rivera (2025-05-02, 8:06 a.m.):
I attempted to contact Newegg via phone and chat in order to make a bulk purchase, but alas, I have received no response. This has left me with concerns about the possibility of my order being mishandled. Based on both my own experience and previous written reviews, I am inclined to advise my company to cease doing business with Newegg, despite their competitive pricing. Additionally, their website's ordering system falls short of expectations. Should the CEO or individual responsible for marketing and sales wish to reach out to me, I would gladly offer some suggestions for enhancing customer and sales interactions.
