Exploring the Accessibility of Canada Post in Bois-des-Filion, Quebec

Canada Post, located in Bois-des-Filion, Quebec, serves as a vital service hub for the community. However, it has received mixed reviews regarding its overall customer experience. The accessibility features of this post office are crucial for ensuring all customers can utilize its services.

Wheelchair-Accessible Car Park

One significant aspect of accessibility at Canada Post is the wheelchair-accessible car park. This feature allows individuals with mobility challenges to access postal services with ease. It is essential for post offices to accommodate all customers, and having a designated car park space aids in promoting inclusivity.

Wheelchair-Accessible Entrance

The wheelchair-accessible entrance at Canada Post in Bois-des-Filion is another critical feature. This entrance ensures that individuals using wheelchairs or other mobility aids can enter the facility without barriers. Accessibility in public spaces is not just a legal requirement; it enhances the overall user experience by making services available to everybody.

Customer Experiences

While some customers appreciate the accessibility features, their experiences with staff and service quality have raised concerns. Feedback indicates that interactions with the reception staff can be slow and impolite. One visitor noted they felt they had no competitive options due to the lack of alternative postal services.

Additionally, there have been frustrations regarding issues like payment methods. A customer expressed disbelief at being asked to pay for a stamp exclusively with a credit card, especially when there are no reported contamination cases linked to cash transactions. This situation underscores a larger theme of miscommunication and service inconsistency at this location.

Technological Challenges and Service Consistency

Technology seems to play a role in the customer experience at Canada Post. Reports suggest that the system has gone down multiple times, leading to delays and frustration. One customer shared a story of waiting for 15 minutes only to be informed that the entire system was down since the morning, which left them disappointed.

Moreover, customers have reported difficulty receiving timely and accurate information about services, such as stamp inquiries or package deliveries. There have been instances where packages were exchanged with others, leading to claims of feeling "robbed" of their rightful items.

Positive Aspects

Despite these challenges, some patrons have had positive experiences at this post office. A few visitors remarked on the friendly staff and efficient service during their visits. Such feedback emphasizes that while there are areas needing improvement, the dedication to customer service exists within certain team members.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Canada Post in Bois-des-Filion has made strides in accessibility through its dedicated wheelchair-accessible car park and wheelchair-accessible entrance. However, the customer experience remains a mixed bag, with opportunities for improvement in service delivery and communication. Ensuring that all customers feel welcomed and valued is essential for enhancing the overall reputation and performance of this vital community service.

Always too much waiting, opening hours that do not match Google Business.
Albert Harris (2025-07-14, 7:31 a.m.):
They went and swapped my parcel with someone else's, can you believe it?

Now they're asking me to foot the bill for the shipping fees of the wrong package or risk having my own sent back to the sender. It's an absolute outrage! I've already forked out the cash for delivery with my postie.

Won't even entertain the idea of getting a higher-up at Canada Post on the line...
Benjamin Clark (2025-07-09, 2:01 a.m.):
Outstanding and speedy service!
Frank Martinez (2025-07-07, 3:34 p.m.):
I was made to wait for 15 minutes, only to be informed that the entire Canada Post system had been down since morning by a clueless employee.
Brittany Clark (2025-07-06, 3:33 p.m.):
I telephoned to inquire about stamps, how many to use, and such. I spoke with a young lady who clearly had no interest whatsoever in assisting me with my questions or helping me as a customer. Quite a displeasing experience, I must say.
Carol Jackson (2025-07-04, 4:40 p.m.):
I was denied service 15 minutes afore closin' time because the lass be countin' her cash register.
Keith Clark (2025-07-01, 8:56 a.m.):
In less than 4 months, I've visited the post office 6 times during their supposed opening hours, only to find them CLOSED for different reasons each time!!!! Absolutely disgraceful!!!
Denise Graham (2025-06-30, 8:16 p.m.):
Cheers mate, this post office is absolutely brilliant! Top-notch service and quick delivery every time. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable postal service.
Thomas Reyes (2025-06-30, 7:23 a.m.):
I gave it 3 stars because they don't have a bilingual person available, the place is clean, and it's not very busy when I visit.
Roy Lewis (2025-06-29, 3:02 p.m.):
I get that we're all trying to stay healthy, but it seems a bit daft when there haven't been any reported cases of money being contaminated, and the government is encouraging businesses to start accepting cash again. So, when the clerk at the post office asked me to pay for a stamp with my credit card, it just seemed ludicrous, right? After a bit of back and forth, she finally took the $1.30 in cash. Just goes to show, sometimes common sense ain't so common, eh?
Robert Campbell (2025-06-24, 6:57 p.m.):
The staff at the post office are absolutely lovely, and you'll never find yourself waiting too long. Top-notch service all around!
Bobby Bennett (2025-06-22, 8:40 p.m.):
Oh dear, what a complete disaster! I arrived at the Jean Coutu at 5 a.m., only to discover that it was closing at 5 p.m. rather than the expected 9 p.m. And to add insult to injury, they had stationed a young man outside whose sole purpose seemed to be breaking the bad news that I wouldn't be able to collect my package that day!

If only we had been informed earlier, we would have never chosen the post office as our delivery option. I would have opted for direct home delivery instead. Absolutely unbelievable!
Diane Gutierrez (2025-06-21, 6:00 a.m.):
I didn't have to wait long at all, and the lovely lady behind the counter was very helpful.
Louis Lee (2025-06-10, 6:40 a.m.):
I always receive top-notch service at the post office.
Matthew Long (2025-06-10, 3:30 a.m.):
The people here are lovely!

Situated in the PJC on Monté Gagnon, don't go in through the souvenir entrance (it's a dead end).
Jennifer Peterson (2025-06-02, 8:56 a.m.):
The service provided by the post office is top-notch, I must say.
Nicole James (2025-06-01, 3:09 p.m.):
This post office in Canada is absolutely dreadful, I must say. Every time I pop in, it seems like they're having some sort of issue - either the computers are on the blink or the staff look completely worn out. Today, when I used the MoneyGram service, the employee Liliana was in a complete tizzy. I handed over all the necessary documents, and without so much as a word, she scurried off to contact customer service. And then, to top it off, she spoke to me in the most unprofessional manner. It's high time the manager there stepped in and sorted things out sharpish.
