1-The scenario: I am the owner of a small online bookstore specializing in foreign languages, which required a website overhaul and modifications to the existing Access database.
2-The specifications: The website needed to support three languages (English, French, Spanish), have search capabilities for 5000 titles across 37 categories. It had to be sleek, modern, and user-friendly. Most importantly, it had to be easy to maintain for someone with minimal tech knowledge and allow for bulk uploading of book photos and descriptions.
3-I popped into the Machine offices unannounced and was promptly scheduled for a meeting with Scott. After about 2 hours of discussion, Scott assured me he could meet our requirements. His proposal and cost estimate arrived a few days later. We accepted and have been extremely satisfied. There were numerous discussions about various aspects of the site: color schemes, functionality, logo design, landing page, fonts, and more. Somehow, Scott and his team worked their technological magic. His level of service, attention to detail, willingness to address concerns, provide alternatives, and ongoing support have been exceptional.
