We recently visited The Muse in Bancroft and had a delightful experience. This cozy café is located downtown, next to an art gallery, creating a charming ambiance with local artwork adorning the walls.
Upon our visit, my spouse and I indulged in a delightful spread featuring tea, a cream cheese bagel, and crepes (palacsinta). The bagel with cream cheese was satisfactory, but the real standout was the Blue Matcha tea which was simply excellent. The crepes, on the other hand, were out of this world! Made to order, piping hot, fresh, and incredibly delicious. We opted for three crepes, two with mascarpone and fresh strawberries, and one with apricot jam.
The staff at The Muse were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, always ready with a smile. Our next visit will definitely include trying out their homemade soup and baked goods.
For a taste of home and a truly delightful dining experience, be sure to pay a visit to The Muse.

What a splendid spot with a delightful ambiance! We were thrilled to have stumbled upon this gem during our road journey. The European-inspired lunch offerings were simply superb, the pastries truly delectable, and the smoothies perfectly balanced and generously portioned. This establishment unquestionably merits a full five stars in my book!

The coffee, food, and ambiance are absolutely top-notch, but the true gem of this place is none other than sweet Grandma Rose! She's an absolute delight, always beaming with warmth and kindness. Rose truly adds an extra special touch to the cafe, making it a charming spot not to be missed.

This cafe is an absolute gem for all you art aficionados out there. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is simply heavenly. The desserts are to die for, all homemade and oh so fresh. The blueberry coffee cake is an absolute delight. The staff here are incredibly friendly and courteous. It's quite the hotspot in town...definitely worth a visit!

This place has the most divine coffee, absolutely top-notch. And don't even get me started on their delectable food options - always so fresh and flavorful! The staff, oh so charming, and the owner Liz, a true treasure!

What a charming little spot! I popped in for a quick drink (got the dirty chai with cashew milk; so delightful) and was welcomed by piano melodies and beautiful artwork. Excited to return and explore the gallery further!

As an avid reader and coffee enthusiast, this place feels like a second home to me. The cozy atmosphere, along with the friendly staff always ready to cater to your needs, make for a delightful experience. The menu offers a delectable selection of homemade baked goods, such as almond flour brownies, blueberry coffee cake, muffins, and gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, all of which are absolutely fantastic! I highly recommend trying out these delightful treats when you visit. Cheers to a perfect reading spot with great coffee and delicious pastries!

I must say, I am quite disappointed with my experience at the cafe. I decided to treat myself to a large salad priced at 12.00 and a chicken Caesar wrap. The wrap was decent, but I was truly let down by the salad. It was remarkably tiny for a so-called large portion. In my opinion, it barely qualified as a small salad, given that it was cramped in one corner of the square container. This experience has left me unimpressed, and I have decided not to revisit this establishment. And to think, I am a local customer as well.

This little café is an absolute find. The furniture is top-notch, the decor is intriguing, and the art on the walls is simply stunning - the perfect backdrop for savoring a delicious cup of coffee. I've visited my fair share of coffee shops, and this one definitely stands out from the rest. If I were a Bancroft local, you can bet I'd be a regular here.

Bryan Wilson (2025-07-10, 5:23 a.m.):
These fine ladies were just delightful to converse with. The coffee shop had a plethora of intriguing discoveries. For those who have a penchant for iced coffee, do not miss the chance to indulge in one with a coconut cream flavor infusion!
Gloria Allen (2025-07-05, 7:18 a.m.):
Ambiance and cuisine are decent. However, this establishment has the poorest service in all of Canada. We waited for over 45 minutes for a mediocre sandwich. The server had a rude and unpleasant attitude with no apologies offered. Customers who arrived after us received complex food orders before us. The place was not very busy, they simply did not seem to care.
Christina Robinson (2025-07-01, 6:29 a.m.):
A lovely spot to drop by for a cup of coffee and a nibble while journeying through Bancroft. I highly suggest trying out their Maple-infused coffee! They offer gluten-free choices like quiche and muffins. Their standard fare is equally delightful. Additionally, they're more than happy to heat up your snack for you.
The artwork adorning the walls is quite charming, and on summer weekend nights, live music fills the air.
Matthew Gutierrez (2025-06-30, 8:32 a.m.):
A cozy little nook brimming with exquisite artwork and handcrafted local gems, delectable homemade treats and beverages crafted with passion, and a charming live music setting—The Muse truly captures my heart as the ultimate hotspot in town. Don't miss out on this gem!
Janice Rodriguez (2025-06-30, 5:28 a.m.):
Liv (owner) and Rose (her mum) were absolutely delightful. My husband and I were in Bancroft for the weekend and stumbled upon this charming cafe that also showcases local art. We were thrilled to discover that they were hosting a live music night during our visit, which added even more enjoyment to our stay. The menu offered plenty of vegan and gluten-free choices, and let me tell you, their lattes are absolutely divine.
Lisa Campbell (2025-06-29, 1:38 p.m.):
The baked goods selection is absolutely smashing, and the iced Americano is top-notch. Cheers!
