Utterly dreadful experience. Was completely taken advantage of during a basic car safety inspection. They insisted on unnecessary additional work before proceeding with the safety check. The initial quote for a simple inspection was $650, felt like daylight robbery. I have absolutely no intention of returning to CT for any future car needs. Unscrupulous individuals.

I just have to give a massive shout out to Mark from the automotive department. His customer service was absolutely outstanding and so friendly. When my husband's truck got a flat tire on the side of the highway (just 5 minutes from Canadian Tire), Mark and his team went above and beyond to help us. They not only installed our spare tire so we could make it to our early morning appointment at the shop, but they also assisted us in choosing the perfect winter tires for our truck and had them mounted the very same day! The service was incredibly quick and truly exceptional. It's rare to come across such dedicated employees these days, and this experience made me so happy that I will definitely be a repeat customer. After a rather lengthy wait, we were informed that they were unable to locate the correct parts for our van, despite having made several attempts to order them. Understandable, these things can happen. However, we were left with quite an unpleasant surprise - the underside of the car sustained significant damage, with a sizable dent and cracked metal falling off on both sides.

Naturally, they claimed it wasn't their fault and attributed the damage to Canadian Tire in Renfrew, where we had been the day before. I have my doubts about this, as the impact marks in the dust appeared fresh and would likely have been washed away by the rain overnight. They also tried to excuse the situation by pointing out the age of the van (2003), as if that somehow lessens the severity of the damage - a dent is a dent, and we don't expect our vehicle to come out worse off after visiting a repair shop.

To add insult to injury, the garage we were towed to in Ottawa couldn't fathom why Canadian Tire had trouble finding the parts, as they too had to order them but encountered no issues in locating the right ones.

Do not purchase EGO products - I have noticed that CT is currently stocking EGO battery-powered lawn equipment. As someone who has had a negative experience with EGO, I strongly advise you to check BBB and Trustpilot for some truly concerning reviews. I wish I had done so before purchasing. And let me tell you, those ratings are well-deserved. It's disappointing to see that CT is now carrying EGO products. Brace yourself for some frustrated customers at the return counter...
Update - There's no need to contact CT headquarters to share my "experience" with EGO. Simply visit Trustpilot and search for EGOPOWERPLUS to read through a plethora of complaints. My own review from over a year ago is there, and it seems the situation has only deteriorated. Take a look at Trustpilot for a realistic perspective on the challenges victims face when trying to make warranty claims or obtain service and spare parts in general. Once again, I am taken aback that CT has chosen to go down this path.

The team at H&H, except for new members, are well-versed in all areas of the store.

I approached a member of staff to ask a question, but instead of assisting me, they simply stared at me. If this is the level of service provided at this store, I am baffled as to how they manage to remain in business. We were just passing through on vacation, but after this experience, I will definitely be avoiding Arnprior altogether. The service was extremely rude and unprofessional.

Out of all the loyalty programs, it's hands down the best. I also signed up for the select Program for 100 bucks. Just for that, I received a 50 dollar gift card. By actively engaging with the program, waiting for offers, and taking advantage of them, you can quickly see the benefits. Most of the things you need to buy are available here. So, why not get some real cash value back?
On average, I get about a third of my purchase back in CT money. I've accumulated over 10,000 points and they keep increasing. It doesn't take long either. I highly recommend this store.

I popped into the store on Thursday with a broken fishing rod in hand, hoping to pick up a new reel and string for my grandson before Friday. I must admit, I was a bit clueless about fishing gear, but your team was absolutely fantastic! The lady at the back of the store connected me with a wonderful young man who truly went above and beyond to assist me. Not only did he help me find what I needed, but he even sought permission from his manager to assemble it for me ❤️.

As a retired nurse with 49 years of service at the Ottawa Hospital, I have a keen eye for people who genuinely care, and let me tell you, this young lad definitely fits the bill. Well done, CT ❤️🥰! Thanks to him, I now have the knowledge to load a fishing line and troubleshoot a few issues if they arise. Kudos to your team!

The seasonal manager is a bit lacking in interpersonal skills and can be quite brusque. When I attempted to get a warranty for a faulty tool (a Mastercraft Maximum product), she informed me that they would have to retain my broken tool and that the manufacturer for Canadian Tire would need to create a new one for me. I declined this offer, went to the Renfrew location, and easily exchanged it as per usual.

I must say, splendid service and such a friendly staff at Canadian Tire! Among all the locations, the Arnprior store truly stands out. Recently, I purchased a set of trailer tires there and I was thoroughly impressed by their impeccable service.
