Customer Experiences: A Mixed Review

Customer feedback often reflects the challenges faced in obtaining assistance. One customer mentioned their disappointment when staff directed them to check the website instead of providing in-person assistance. Despite these issues, there have been praises for individuals like Shamin and Tien from the Geek Squad, who were recognized for their excellent customer service and patience. This highlights that while experiences may vary, dedicated staff members can still provide quality assistance.

In September, I purchased an Xbox controller from the Best Buy store in Charlottetown, along with a 2-year warranty. About a month later, I noticed an issue with the controller, so I tried to exchange it for a new one at the store. However, I was told that I could only send it in by mail for a replacement, and that it would take over a month to receive the new controller. Even though I had bought the warranty, it is frustrating to have to wait so long for a replacement when the controller was faulty from the start.

I shall never frequent Best Buy again, for Amazon's prowess in honoring product warranties surpasses theirs by a great margin. I visited Best Buy last week to seek warranty coverage for a defective product that was still within its 1-year warranty period and less than 6 months old. Instead of assistance, I was met with rudeness from a service representative who bluntly instructed me to reach out to the manufacturer directly, offering no guidance on how to do so beyond a vague suggestion of "online." My visit turned out to be a complete waste of time. If given the chance, I would rate this company a 0. Best Buy, you have just lost another customer to Amazon! It is high time you wake up before you find yourself going out of business.

James, a trainee, absolutely smashed it in aiding us to choose a cell phone and a phone package that was top-notch compared to the last one we had. He also helped with transferring our information. He was incredibly professional and delightful to work with.

The staff 'ere are rather useless and the product selection 'as taken a turn towards mobile phones. 'alf the store be filled with posh ear buds. Best o' luck finding 'ome or car audio components and accessories, mate.

The most ridiculous thing I've ever come across.. Crikey! I can't ring the shop because they're only open for walk-ins, righto! If I want a chat with a real person, I've got to make the trek there, despite living a fair hike away.. it's 2024 for goodness' sake and I can't even pick up the blower to call a shop??? Embrace the digital age, mates.. this is the future landscape for us all, mark my words.

Two blokes were assisting me in finding a noon VR headset and one of them mentioned that the shop was out of stock. But Farod knew exactly where to find it! I was grateful for his assistance!

I say, two years back, we did purchase a splendid shark robot from the best buy in Charlottetown, and we also procured a seven-year warranty for an additional $100. Presently, the robot seems to have run into a spot of bother as it's not charging up as it ought. Placing our trust in the warranty we obtained, we trotted back to the store in hopes of exchanging it for a fresh one. Alas, we were informed that a replacement was out of the question since the cost of a newfangled robot surpassed the value of our dear, old one. Instead, they proposed furnishing us with a gift card which we could employ to purchase a newer model of the shark robot priced at a rather steep $600. One must say, rather disappointing service, wouldn't you agree?
Jeremy Morales (2025-07-11, 3:45 a.m.):
Absolutely no customer service whatsoever. It appears as though the staff are trained to steer clear of customers, and if you do happen to ask them a question, they won't have the answer and will be quite rude to you.
Kathryn Collins (2025-07-07, 9:43 a.m.):
Well, it's alright. At times you have to track down the staff. They don't appear too invested in their work - as if you're inconveniencing them by seeking assistance. Not fantastic, not terrible.
Melissa Miller (2025-07-06, 10:07 p.m.):
This establishment appears to be quite the spot for those who fancy a bit of loafing about and aren't overly concerned with assisting others. Customer service leaves much to be desired, with numerous staff members idly chit-chatting amongst themselves and neglecting patrons.
Jose Jackson (2025-07-06, 12:36 p.m.):
The staff 'round here are quite rubbish and the product assortment has leaned heavily towards mobile phones. A good chunk of the shop is stocked with posh earphones. Best of luck trying to track down home or car audio parts and add-ons.
Frank Gray (2025-07-05, 6:36 a.m.):
The prices are quite fair, and the store is kept tidy and well-maintained. However, a few of the staff members were a tad peculiar and seemed to trail behind me and my mates as we perused the items.
Roger Bailey (2025-07-04, 11:51 a.m.):
I 'ave ne'er 'ad a good experience in this shop. There seems to always be some factor that interrupts my purchase; whether it be incompetent staff or receiving a broken product that needs to be returned.
Ryan Hall (2025-07-04, 7:41 a.m.):
I was loitering around the computers, awaiting customer service on two separate occasions, seeking information on a product prior to making a purchase. On both occasions, several employees made eye contact and then chose not to acknowledge my presence. It's safe to say that they missed out on a considerable potential sale.
Nancy Henderson (2025-07-04, 4:48 a.m.):
Decent range of products on offer. But the prices, dear me, not quite up to scratch. I couldn't shake the feeling that Future Shop was dishing out far better deals compared to what I stumbled upon at Best Buy. A bit of healthy competition on pricing wouldn't go amiss; otherwise, it boils down to dropping $80 at Walmart or parting with the same amount at Best Buy for an identical item. And mind you, at Walmart, not only can I snag groceries and clothing, but also furniture and whatnot. Just a little food for thought.
Donald Scott (2025-06-23, 10:25 a.m.):
I 'ave nevah 'ad a propah good experience in this store. There seems to always be some bleedin' factor that interrupts me purchase; whether it be incompetent staff or receivin' a broken product that needs to be returned.
Tyler Simmons (2025-06-22, 9:02 p.m.):
Brett from Best Buy in Charlottetown absolutely smashed it - top-notch work ethic, fantastic customer service, he truly elevated my experience. He was the one who sorted out my laptops. Big thanks, Brett! 🥇
Paul Cruz (2025-06-20, 7:09 a.m.):
There be such a scarcity of items available in this establishment!
Eugene Hayes (2025-06-13, 3:15 a.m.):
I've popped into Best Buy's mobile center twice already. The experience has been smooth sailing both times. James from that department is top-notch and really knows his stuff, which saves you heaps of time instead of twiddling your thumbs waiting for them to figure things out. The store usually has fantastic offers too, better than most mobile outlets I've checked out.
Nancy Green (2025-06-09, 3:39 p.m.):
The staff greeted me promptly and immediately showed me the various wireless speaker models available. They were knowledgeable and provided great assistance. (PS... The Sony speaker I bought is fantastic, perfect for outdoor use!)
