Whether you prefer debit cards, credit cards, or the latest in technology with NFC mobile payments, this pharmacy has got you covered. This flexibility ensures that you can make your purchases quickly during a quick visit.

Service Options and Accessibility

The pharmacy prides itself on providing on-site services, which include medication consultations and prescription refills. Unfortunately, customer feedback suggests that wait times can be an issue, with many reporting long delays when trying to pick up prescriptions. However, the pharmacy does feature a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, making it easier for those with mobility challenges to access services. Additionally, a wheelchair-accessible toilet is available for convenience.

Customer Experience

While some reviews celebrate the friendly and knowledgeable staff, others express concern over inconsistent customer service. Complaints about long wait times and rude interactions have been common among patrons. Some customers found the assistance they received inadequate, especially when dealing with urgent health concerns.

Community Impact and Concerns

Recent discussions around the pharmacy have raised awareness about the potential dangers of certain products marketed to young people, such as nitrous oxide. Customers have voiced concerns that products should be better regulated and advertised responsibly. The management reportedly responded to these concerns, but many feel that further action is required to ensure the safety of all customers, particularly minors.

Final Thoughts

Shoppers Drug Mart in Alliston serves as a significant resource for the community, offering essential pharmacy services and products. However, the mixed reviews highlight the need for improvement in customer service and responsiveness. For those considering a visit, it's advisable to keep in mind both the positive attributes and the areas needing attention.

Greetings! I must say, when it comes to the pharmacy, my partner and I have always relished our visits to Shoppers over the past few years. The majority of the staff there are truly splendid, friendly, and exceedingly obliging. Nevertheless, there happens to be this young chap there who is rather aloof, uninterested, and never offers an apology when a prescription has been verified as ready; instead, he simply dismisses us without even bothering to look for our prescription in the drawer. Each time we encounter him at the pick-up counter, there seems to be an issue without fail (insurance not processed, and so forth). It appears evident that he could benefit from further training. Just recently, we encountered yet another problem while dealing with him. Frankly, we are growing weary of his blunders and his indifferent demeanor. Regrettably, he consistently neglects to offer an apology.

(Edit) Fortunately, there has been a significant improvement in recent times.

I had a plethora of amazing options to choose from and became quite overwhelmed by the variety. Thankfully, Jennifer in the cosmetics department was on hand to assist me with my new makeup regimen! Thank you, Jennifer!

My mum was trying to use MoneyGram to send some money to Guyana. But the lady who took the name of the person we wanted to send money to messed up the name. So, my mum had to go through a lot of hassle to sort it out. It's been a week now, and the lady still hasn't received the $400.

I always shop here and they always have what I'm looking for.

You have wasted my precious time, mate.

The pharmacy 'as gone downhill since the start of June 2017. There be long wait times, and prescriptions are never ready when needed.
Deborah Hill (2025-07-23, 8:08 p.m.):
I've been shopping at this pharmacy for over 15 years and used to get my prescriptions there as well. However, I had a bad experience with the owner, which made me switch to a different pharmacy. The owner was rude and disrespectful, and it was clear he didn't care about the customers. Now, I go to a different pharmacy where the pharmacist actually cares about me and my health. The team at Alliston Family Pharmacy is amazing, they genuinely care about their customers and you feel more than just a number. I still shop there for other items and love the reward system, which is why I gave it 2 stars.

I've been residing in the GTA for years and I recently relocated to Alliston. This Shoppers is a top-notch spot, mate. I absolutely adore coming here to grab my favorite items. The pharmacy is particularly exceptional. The team and pharmacists are incredibly kind and offer stellar customer service. They're always ready to clarify any queries I may have, and I highly recommend others to visit this place for all their pharmacy necessities!

I often frequent this establishment, and I must say that some of the personnel can be quite impolite. There are only a couple of ladies who consistently display kindness; they greet me upon my arrival and are consistently helpful. Sadly, I cannot extend the same sentiment towards any other staff member. 😕
Olivia Peterson (2025-07-19, 5:04 p.m.):
The pharmacy crew is absolutely marvelous. It's bustling, and they've got their team well-staffed. They are incredibly helpful and efficiently respond to inquiries and fill prescriptions.
Victoria Miller (2025-07-18, 3:52 a.m.):
This morning, the post office manageress (Lynn?) was very helpful with assisting me with setting up and mailing my letters.
Dylan Bailey (2025-07-16, 11:05 a.m.):
I popped into the pharmacy for a travel test and was informed that someone was inside and I should hang tight. So, I sat there for about 15 minutes while it appeared that a personal conversation was occurring in the pharmacist's office. To my surprise, another individual with a scheduled appointment was seen before me. If the pharmacist had managed his time more effectively and attended to clients as they waited for their results, I wouldn't still be waiting here. It's disappointing that the pharmacist chose to engage in small talk instead of assisting other clients. A test only takes a minute to perform and could have allowed him to help multiple clients in the meantime. Quite unprofessional. It's no wonder this establishment has such poor Google reviews. Time wasted, no good.
Grace Garcia (2025-07-15, 6:53 p.m.):
Top notch service, I must say!
Linda Morgan (2025-07-11, 2:22 a.m.):
Bloody overpriced, mate, and the service is usually rubbish.
Louis Turner (2025-07-10, 4:01 p.m.):
Terrible customers. Medications require 20 to 30 minutes for processing. Upon return, expect an additional 30 minutes or so. The ladies at the counter seem oblivious to the time frame. Simply ridiculous. I recommend taking your prescriptions elsewhere.
Amelia Harris (2025-06-30, 6:46 p.m.):
Oh, Wendy is absolutely brilliant! The team at the pharmacy is top-notch. I had been searching for a PS5 for months, ever since my birthday last year to be exact. After some disappointing experiences at Walmart and other stores, I decided to give this pharmacy a try. When I called, Wendy answered the phone promptly and courteously, and confirmed they had one in stock. They couldn't hold it for me, so I raced over, praying the whole way during the longest 10 minutes of my life. When I arrived, Wendy had the PS5 ready for me to purchase, along with a game. Despite being busy, the staff was still helpful and tried to assist me with my transaction. This pharmacy is now my go-to place for anything I need. Thank you again, ladies!
Elizabeth Hamilton (2025-06-28, 2:08 a.m.):
The CANADA POST MANAGER is absolutely woeful and clearly not cut out for any form of customer service.

After experiencing numerous frustrating encounters, today was no exception. When I inquired about her district manager's name, she refused to provide me with the information, giving me the runaround and feigning ignorance. Eventually, she summoned the 'SHOPPERS' store manager, who was just as ridiculous. He displayed clear bias and blindly defended his employee without any regard for his store or customers. Instead of defusing the situation, he chose to argue with me. The original manager then pointed to a number on the wall as if I was expected to know that it belonged to her boss. (Spoiler alert: It didn't. She lied.)

A little courtesy goes a long way, as does effective management.
Carolyn Ford (2025-06-26, 3:47 a.m.):
The staff over the phone were quite impolite and not very helpful.
Eugene Cruz (2025-06-25, 11:02 p.m.):
I was searching for a formula, and the guy tells me he doesn't know and hangs up. Very poor service, indeed.
David Baker (2025-06-24, 8:17 p.m.):
Absolutely appalling service, with staff being incredibly rude and lazy. Despite it being quiet on a Sunday night, a senior patient was made to wait an hour while the staff chatted amongst themselves. Pharmacist Rocky lacks professionalism and basic manners, while front desk Anu is particularly unmotivated. I will definitely not be returning and would rather endure a 60km drive to Vaughan than set foot in that pharmacy again.
