Service Options and Accessibility
The pharmacy prides itself on providing on-site services, which include medication consultations and prescription refills. However, the pharmacy does feature a wheelchair-accessible entrance and a wheelchair-accessible car park, making it easier for those with mobility challenges to access services. Additionally, a wheelchair-accessible toilet is available for convenience.

Community Impact and Concerns
Recent discussions around the pharmacy have raised awareness about the potential dangers of certain products marketed to young people, such as nitrous oxide. Customers have voiced concerns that products should be better regulated and advertised responsibly. The management reportedly responded to these concerns, but many feel that further action is required to ensure the safety of all customers, particularly minors.
Final Thoughts

Gwen was always so lovely and caring, even when SDM was bustling. I haven't laid eyes on her in a spell, and it seems the current staff has taken a turn for rudeness. I comprehend they're occupied, but when an error with a prescription is on SDM's end, and you politely request a correction, it's disheartening to encounter such impoliteness, especially after numerous attempts. To have them misplace, mishandle, or misconstrue a prescription you've relied on for ages is just not on. And when they abruptly hang up as if the issue is yours alone, it truly is disheartening. I maintained my composure—I simply wished to clarify how to avoid future mishaps. I still treated them with kindness, giving them the benefit of the doubt that perhaps they were enduring a rough day, but there's no excuse for their insolence. I trust Gwen is still part of the team; otherwise, I may have to switch to a pharmacy that values their clients' well-being and concerns.

The typical shoppers at Drug Mart. Extremely clean and polite service.

The approximate wait time for medications is nearly an hour, and it seems like they deliberately do this to encourage you to spend more money while waiting! The customer service is terrible, and the pharmacy staff are consistently rude. They also do not prioritize keeping your medication information confidential. I will never return to get my prescription there again, especially since they always give me a hard time about the medication I'm on, even though it's the same type and amount every week. It's quite unsettling. The lady named Gwen at the pharmacy is particularly dreadful. I've had to deal with her multiple times, and each time has been absolutely awful, from her rude demeanor to her general attitude. Nobody should have to endure this. She always seems to look down on people who require specific medications, considering them lesser beings than herself. I vow to avoid that place unless it's a dire emergency on a Sunday. One star is far too generous – more like 0.5 out of 10, or even 0 out of 10. I know many others who share these sentiments and have faced similar experiences numerous times. I recommend seeking assistance at Remedys in the Alliston Physicians Office. The wait times are always 5 to 10 minutes at most, the staff is friendly, always willing to explain your medications, and incredibly helpful. It's no surprise that the lady who used to work at Shoppers Drug Mart has now joined Remedys – she left as soon as she could, and she's fantastic!

Our favorite Pharmacy. The staff is friendly and helpful.
Jason Hernandez (2025-05-12, 11:36 p.m.):
Could you please restock the foundation that's currently out of stock? My wife keeps dragging me back here every week to see if it's available again. 😒 ...
Jeremy Coleman (2025-05-12, 5:39 a.m.):
I rang up half an hour in advance to inquire about a certain item, and they assured me they had it in stock. However, upon arrival, I was informed that it had already been sold out. Interestingly enough, when my friend called shortly after my departure, they were told that the product was still available. It appears that this establishment is unfairly judging customers based on appearance. I would advise against patronizing this store.
Daniel Gonzales (2025-05-10, 3:20 a.m.):
I've had some pretty swell service and my overall experience has been quite jolly at SDM.
Megan Reyes (2025-05-05, 3:21 a.m.):
I must say, the pharmacy I visited was the most disorganized and unprofessional one I have ever come across. Ashley seems keen on criticizing other pharmacies but is incredibly rude to patients they share. My advice would be to stay away from Ashley at all costs.
Gloria Collins (2025-05-04, 6:34 a.m.):
Candice from the pharmacy is absolutely amazing. She assisted my son with the medication he needs, which really gives us a lot of peace of mind. Thank you for all your help.
Adam Morales (2025-05-01, 6:34 a.m.):
My sister's doctor in Ottawa faxed over her prescription before we hit the road back home, thinking that would allow enough time to have it filled. Apparently not. We arrived six hours later only to be informed it wouldn't be ready for another 20 minutes. Returning after 20 minutes, it still wasn't prepared. One of the staff members even asked her colleagues, "don't people have anything better to do on a Saturday night?" Well, if I didn't urgently need to pick up painkillers for my sister who just had surgery, I certainly wouldn't be here. It seems like they haven't trained their employees in customer service or the importance of their wages. Save yourself the time and avoid this place.
Bobby Cruz (2025-04-30, 4:14 p.m.):
Let me begin by expressing that this Shoppers Drug Mart is absolutely brilliant! The pharmacy team is like a well-oiled machine. They're incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, and always prepared to address any inquiries you may have regarding your medications or health issues. You can rely on them to look after you. And would you believe it? They even provide convenient services such as prescription refills and medication consultations. It's akin to having your very own personal healthcare consultant right there in the store!
Now, let's discuss Canada Post. It's truly a game-changer to have a Canada Post outlet located within Shoppers Drug Mart. It's like killing two birds with one stone! You can shop and attend to your mailing necessities all in one spot. It's extremely convenient, particularly when you're sending out packages or need to collect a parcel. Additionally, the staff at the Canada Post counter are always welcoming and efficient, making the entire process a breeze.
In summary, Shoppers Drug Mart in Alliston, Ontario is the ultimate shopping haven. With its exceptional pharmacy services and the added convenience of Canada Post, it's a win-win situation. So, the next time you're in the vicinity, make sure to pay it a visit! 🛍️💊📮

I went in to get my mum's medications. The Pharmacist who is also the owner was extremely helpful. He took a lot of time explaining each medication and asked if my mum would manage taking the medication as prescribed. She was unsure, and he recommended and showed her a blister pack, which we both appreciated. My mum agreed she needed the extra support and he packed her medications while she waited. This was 30 minutes well spent at the pharmacy. And what's even better, there was no extra charge for the medication packaging. I'd give 6 stars if I could.
Billy Kelly (2025-04-25, 7:48 p.m.):
I am definitely not pleased with the pharmacy.
Brandon Roberts (2025-04-25, 6:19 p.m.):
Regrettably, this is one of the most disappointing places I've ever visited. They consistently provide misinformation about the availability of your medication, and upon arrival, you're left waiting for an hour. It seems that 90% of the time they don't have the medication in stock and need to place an order. Despite being aware that your prescription is valid for 6 months, you're still required to wait each month for them to order it, resulting in several days without medication. If you attempt to order it ahead of time to ensure timely availability, they claim it's too early.
The pharmacist, who is of Indian descent, behaves rudely and dishonestly. Each time he promises to call when the medication is ready, the call never materializes. I prefer to obtain my medication elsewhere and recommend that you do the same. I've grown weary of the disrespect and deception I've endured over the past two years.
Dennis Kim (2025-04-22, 11:01 p.m.):
Top-notch shop, spotlessly clean and well-arranged. Every member of the team I've interacted with has been amazingly friendly and helpful!
Ethan Ortiz (2025-04-22, 3:05 p.m.):
I was informed that my clearly labeled and vested service dog was not welcomed in the store. My dog did not cause any problems as he sat and stayed by my side while I was using the post office here.
I did not write this review and am unsure why it is showing up with my name.
Matthew Hamilton (2025-04-22, 2:34 p.m.):
ATTENTION PARENTS, PLEASE TAKE NOTE. With the emergence of nitrous gas, known as "magic gas" or "laughing gas," being used by teenagers at parties and clubs to achieve a high, Shopper's Drug Mart, with the assistance of Soda Stream, appears to be attempting to capitalize on this trend. There always seems to be a profit opportunity before government regulations intervene. As seen in the accompanying photos, they are promoting the sale of large nitrous oxide canisters rather than the actual beverage product itself. I do not recall them ever advertising the small cartridges previously, because why would they be of interest under normal circumstances? However, at that time, there was no widespread use of large tanks for recreational purposes by teenagers seeking a quick high. There are no warning labels or age verification checks in place to ensure that buyers are of legal age to purchase such items. I raised my concerns with a manager who appeared to be troubled by the situation and assured me that it would be addressed. Nevertheless, three weeks have passed, and there have been no signs or efforts to alert customers and parents to the potential risks. I am genuinely appalled. I have never felt more strongly that I am witnessing a company profit directly from endangering children, and there is little I can do to rectify the situation. Shame on you, Shopper's.
