Well, I must say, my first visit to Yuzu was quite disappointing. The young lasses there seemed lacking in enthusiasm to serve me, but it didn't register at the time. When I requested extra wasabi and ginger, the girl taking my order responded with a rather nonchalant, "Well, I'll give you some more." A tad taken aback, I simply said, "Alright then," not quite grasping their attitude and policy. Upon receiving my $40 sushi order, I inquired if the ginger amount was indeed the extra promised, to which the other young lady affirmed. It seemed a tad stingy compared to other places, but I brushed it off as their norm. However, upon arriving home and inspecting my sushi, I discovered the asparagus-filled ones were suspiciously past their prime, rendering the entire tray inedible! Alas, I had no choice but to discard the lot. Normally, I'd let it slide, considering they are still learning, but this was a bit too much to overlook. I doubt I'll be returning to Yuzu sushi anytime soon, as I can't afford to toss $40 down the drain on the chance that my next visit might be better.

The sushi is top-notch around here, but the last three visits have been a bit of a letdown. The first two times, even with an online order, it arrived 20 minutes late. Today, to top it off, they couldn't locate my order (despite having the email confirmation), resulting in a delay of over 30 minutes. These things can happen, but the lack of apologies or discounts, just a simple "wait a bit longer," was unacceptable. Nonetheless, supporting local businesses is always important, so I'll give them another chance. Cheers!

I didn't fancy me poke bowl. The rice was too chilly and lacked sufficient sauce. What's more, the ambiance in the eatery was too frosty for me liking.

The lasses at Yuzu were truly pleasant. Me daughter was feeling a bit low, so I thought to treat her to her beloved food. Alas, 'tis was a holiday and our usual joints were shut tight. We sauntered over to Yuzu, drawn in by its name and decor. We opted for two rolls, a duo of salmon, tuna, and shrimp bits, some salmon bao, and spring rolls. The tally came to $85, quite the surprise (I'm not one to tally up 'fore ordering, but 'tweren’t a grand feast for two). The bao stole the show, without a doubt. But the sushi seemed like 'twas on a hunger strike. The fish was wafer-thin, akin to deli shavings. It perched atop a wispy bed of rice, too delicate for chopsticks, resorting to fingers instead. The spicy salmon roll lacked any discernible salmon, mostly filled with cucumbers and tempura crunchies. The Mango Wow Roll, meant to boast tempura shrimp with mango and clementine, was mostly clementine. The shrimp inside were sizable, almost twice the girth of a pencil. I ken it’s a chain, so me expectations weren't sky-high. Yet, I left feeling swindled and wronged. I've savored sushi from many establishments in me time, but this was by far the most woeful, feeble rendition I've encountered. The bao stood as the lone beacon of goodness, both delectable and reasonably priced. I'd endorse Yuzu for a dainty bao nibble, but steer clear of their seafood-laden rolls and sushi, lest ye wish to be sorely disappointed.

Regrettably, it has been a few weeks since I last observed the alterations at this establishment.
And it's not as appealing to me, not only in terms of the flavor of the dishes but also in regard to the service.
