The service was absolutely splendid today. Most shops would simply direct you to the correct aisle when searching for a product, but not Kim—she personally escorted me straight to the item. She exuded exceptional customer service. It felt akin to having a dedicated personal shopper during my visit to Canadian Tire. My family and I make it a point to visit every summer from Peterborough, and this store is always on our list. When I expressed my gratitude to Kim for her assistance, she replied that she treats all customers as she would like to be treated herself. Truly, they ought to commend Kim as the employee of the week. 👍 Cheryl 🛍

Oh my goodness, the staff at the Bancroft store are absolutely wonderful! They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, whether you're using your MasterCard or picking up some batteries. It feels like they genuinely want me there every time I step through the door!

They always have just what I need, swiftly fulfill my pickup orders, and enhance my shopping experience by being friendly and cheerful!
I adore the fact that I can bring my furry companion along for a shopping spree as well!

I strongly advise against using curbside pickup at this department store. The signage is practically impossible to find, the staff are clearly not properly trained, and be prepared to wait endlessly.
Update: The response from the owner completely misses the mark in addressing the issues I faced. I showed up hours after being notified that my items were ready for pickup, only to discover that the store had not assigned anyone to monitor the curbside pickup system due to lack of training.
The owner ought to acknowledge these facts and take necessary steps to rectify the situation.

Had a bit of a mishap with me trailer in the car park. The staff and other customers were absolute gems in giving me a hand to sort it out. It's fabulous to see that there are wonderful folks out there willing to lend a hand to a stranger in a pickle.

Lovely and helpful staff. They looked after us well during our visit. Our car conked out and they managed to squeeze us in to have a look at what could be the issue. Much appreciated!

I recently placed an order for a plow for my truck online, intending to have it delivered to the Bancroft store. However, 2 weeks later, I received an email informing me that the plow was no longer available. Despite the item still showing as in stock online, I decided to contact the online service for clarification.
After investigating the matter, the online service discovered that the plow I had ordered and paid for was indeed shipped to Bancroft but was mistakenly given to someone else, even though my order number was attached to it. Now, over a week later, I am still waiting for the replacement to arrive. The plow finally turned up after missing two more promised delivery dates.
The Manager was very apologetic about the mix-up and graciously offered me a discount for the inconvenience caused. Additionally, he personally ensured that his team loaded the plow into my truck. While I am pleased to finally have the plow in my possession, I must admit that the process of obtaining it felt like a bit of a circus.

What a smashing store! I popped in recently for some camping crockery that was in the flyer, and the young lad went off to hunt it down as it had just arrived on that day's delivery. He found it in a jiffy, whereas many others might have said, "It must be around here somewhere, come back later." This store consistently exceeds our expectations!

They do not uphold mask exemptions. The employees were terribly rude. Bancroft CT used to be my daughter's and my favorite spot for a day out. We reside in a countryside area, so visiting a large retail store is quite an exciting outing for my 6-year-old. I will no longer patronize this store. I have also heard similar complaints from several others who have decided against returning to this establishment. It's truly disheartening that they are not supportive of those who support them.
Paul Green (2025-05-17, 7:54 p.m.):
Y'know, this curb side pickup malarkey is a tad ridiculous if you ask me. They reckon a bloke should wait 'round 4 to 5 hours just to lay hands on a measly item from the shelf. What in blazes are those staff members doing inside if they can't jolly well stroll over, fetch an item, and take it out? Used to fancy a spot of shopping at this establishment, but now it's all a bit of a laughable affair. Amazon's raking in the big bucks while the mom-and-pop shops are dropping like flies, ain't it a shame?
Tyler Thomas (2025-05-17, 9:18 a.m.):
The staff was extremely helpful and kind.
Wayne Gutierrez (2025-05-17, 5:41 a.m.):
Received top-notch service at the auto shop. Huge shoutout to Fred Potts, deserving of more than a million stars for his dedicated service and focus on customer satisfaction. Massive thanks to Canadian Tire for having such a gem like Fred on their team. He's truly a valuable asset.
Judy Phillips (2025-05-16, 7:30 a.m.):
I must say, this department store is just splendid! The assortment is top-notch and it's a breeze to locate whatever you're after. The staff is so accommodating, truly making your shopping experience a delight. The gun department is particularly impressive, manned by experts in the field. This establishment has become my preferred destination for all my shopping needs.
Richard Hill (2025-05-15, 3:00 p.m.):
What a top-notch establishment! Stocked to the brim with all sorts of goods, and the customer service is tip-top. The automotive department is particularly impressive. Fred and Robin are just fantastic - Robin always goes above and beyond to assist me, a real credit to the team. In my humble opinion, she deserves a raise! I can't speak highly enough of this place - 5 stars all the way. Strongly recommend popping in for some shopping or car maintenance! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Roger Gomez (2025-05-14, 7:51 a.m.):
No bother with the department store. I've had a few sticky situations with the staff, particularly when it comes to returns or warranties. If you're seeking guidance, I'd suggest popping over to Home Hardware – they boast a team that's both clued-up and accommodating. For returns, I'd say it's best to look elsewhere.
Harold Ward (2025-05-14, 2:45 a.m.):
The staff seem to be scarce and not very helpful in the gardening section. The carts are in poor condition, and although the cashier was friendly, they seemed hurried due to the long line, resulting in a 10-minute wait to check out.
Katherine Reyes (2025-05-13, 12:29 p.m.):
A big shoutout to Shawn at the Service Department of Bancroft's Canadian Tire store. I had an unexpected car issue on my way to Burlington to visit a dear friend going through a tough time, and I was led to the car service department at Canadian Tire in Bancroft.
Despite being fully booked for the day, Shawn showed incredible compassion by accommodating my car needs and understanding the urgency of my situation. After only waiting 1.5 hours, I was back on the road to Burlington to be there for my friend.
Thank you, Shawn! Your excellent customer service and genuine kindness are truly appreciated.

Whilst on our road trip, we made a pit stop in Bancroft at the Canadian Tire store as we needed a new tire for our car. The team there was incredibly helpful, and within just one hour, we had a new tire fitted and were back on the road. We were truly grateful for the excellent service and assistance provided. Cheers to the staff at Canadian Tire for their great help!
Mark Ortiz (2025-05-08, 2:29 p.m.):
This department store is absolutely dreadful! The staff seem to be in a rush to get away from you as soon as they spot you. The service provided is shockingly poor. We spent over $1000 on new tires and left our rims for fitting. They informed us that they couldn't do it until the next Wednesday and promised to give us a call when ready. I reached out on Thursday (the day after it was due) only to find out that the job hadn't even been started. The lady at the parts counter blamed Fred, the service manager, who apparently placed the order before going on vacation without informing the team. I'm pretty sure the work orders are visible for everyone to see. To cut a long story short, they ended up damaging our tire pressure sensors and still had the nerve to charge $103 for simply putting rubber on the rims. They didn't even need to remove or fit the tires onto the car. Needless to say, we will never be returning for any service there again.
