P'rhaps the most dreadful post office in all the land. The staff were downright haughty and provided no assistance whatsoever. I've ne'er encountered such a thing in all me travels, from Nova Scotia to British Columbia.

These employees at the post office in Banff must surely be among the laziest around. My partner and I visited on February 4th around 2pm, hoping to send a small package overseas to her family, something we have done without issue many times before. However, after waiting in line for 20 minutes and observing the lackluster service provided by three uninterested employees, it was our turn. We were informed that we needed to complete the customs information online, as it was now a requirement. The employee nonchalantly mentioned this while shrugging her shoulders, as if it were no big deal. Our package, a book for her sister in a padded envelope, remained unsent as we were told to go back in line after doing the task on our phone.
Feeling perplexed and frustrated, we left the post office without sending the parcel and continued with our errands. The following day, while in another town, I decided to try my luck at a different Post Office. Within just 5 minutes, a very polite and knowledgeable employee had the parcel sent off promptly. He even expressed his apologies and rolled his eyes upon hearing about my previous experience with the Banff employees.
Given the privilege of working for Canada Post and the recent strike, one would think that these three employees in Banff would be more diligent and less self-righteous in their roles. It's truly surprising that they still have jobs with their lazy attitudes.

There was this petite middle-aged lady with a strong accent who bluntly declined to assist me in locating my parcel and even scoffed at me as I turned to leave. Nevertheless, the whole process of dealing with mail services tends to be quite miserable overall.

Absolute rubbish service, I must say! Despite my perfectly correct address, they inexplicably sent back my mail the very same day! I even popped in that morning, provided them with the tracking number, and stressed the importance of this package to me... what a load of wankers!!
On another occasion, I was eagerly awaiting a parcel... it took just 1 day to get from Okotoks to Calgary, but an additional 10 days to make its way from Calgary to Banff!!!
Absolutely abysmal service, if you ask me!

I can't even bring meself to award one star, but I must in order to pen this review. Without a doubt the most dreadful post office in all of Canada. If you're settlin' in Banff, I suggest lookin' into gettin' a box in Canmore if possible. The journey there will spare you the hassle. It appears some of 'em ain't too keen on their duties. Not a friendly soul in sight, no empathy whatsoever, and beyond unhelpful. In dire need of fresh hires who have a sense of community, are friendly, and appreciate their positions.

Standing in line twice, once to get the envelope and then again after you've filled it out. Not very efficient at all. Never had this bother at any other Canada Post office. Having traversed far and wide and amassed pictorial cancels from diverse provinces and cities, I have always cherished the amiable and obliging staff at other Canada Post establishments and my postal dispatch experiences. It grieves me to declare that my interface in Banff stood in stark contrast to my prior encounters. While my zest for collecting pictorial cancels and sending postcards endures, this exchange at the Banff Post Office has left a bitter aftertaste. Hence, the solitary star rating.
